About Me
123        Welcome to 7/8 grade ELA for the 2017 - 2018 school year! My name is Marija (pronounced as Maria) Arsenovic and I am honored to be your learner’s teacher this year. I graduated from Arizona State University (go Sun Devils!) in May of 2012 with my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education with an endorsement in Structured English Immersion. In December 2016, I also received my Master's Degree from ASU in Educational Leadership and Administration (Principalship). This is my 6th year of teaching and the 5th year in the Nadaburg School District.
Until the age of ten, I lived in Serbia, Europe, and have been living in the United States for approximately twenty years. I am fluent in Serbian and my next goal is to become fluent in Spanish. Traveling, learning about cultures, hiking, and languages are a few of my passions. Since most of my family resides in Europe, I like to spend my summers visiting family and touring different countries. This past summer, I was able to spend a month in Serbia and two weeks in Greece (Athens, Santorini, and Mykonos). I also love dancing and spending time with my family and friends. Teaching is also a major part of my life and one of my passions.
This year, students will be versed in a very rich, challenging curriculum with many opportunities for success. Students will be setting classroom goals as well as individual goals in order to ensure that all students are successful. My goal is to support by creating a nurturing classroom environment that values and emphasizes teaching through collaboration and investigation.

I believe that communication is a crucial component of education. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me at any time.

Kindest regards,

Ms. Arsenovic
