Welcome to Kindergarten with Jeanna Hodges at Desert Oasis! I am excited to have you as part of my class this year. We will have many great adventures as we learn together!
This is my 10th year teaching Kindergarten at Desert Oasis and my 13th in the Nadaburg School District. I have worked with all grade levels, even Junior high! I love Kindergarteners because of their excitement for learning.

As they go through this year they will gain independence, learn the basics of reading, be asked challenging questions and they will ask some of their own. They will discover a lot of basic math facts and how they fit into their world. We'll learn about each other and the world around us.
My philosophy of teaching is to challenge every student to love learning and give them the skills they need to be life-long learners.
This year we are departmentalizing, which means I am teaching Math, Science and Social Studies and Mrs. Miller will be teaching Reading, Writing and Phonics. We will have all of the learners throughout each day. We are both excited about the opportunity to focus on one main subject. We are also looking forward to getting to know all of our Kindergarteners.
