Dear Parents/Guardians,

           Welcome to Desert Oasis.  I am very excited to be on the 6th grade team and serve as Desert Oasis 3rd-7th grade math coach.  I can’t wait to get to know all of you but first, let me tell you a few things about myself. My name is Christina Ross and I am honored to be your child’s math teacher.   I was born and raised in Arizona.   I have taught in Arizona and North Dakota.  

I have a bachelors in Elementary Education, from Arizona State University and a masters in Curriculum and Instruction, from University of Phoenix.   Since graduating in 2007, I have taught 5th grade, 2nd  grade, 3rd grade math and science, 2nd and 3rd grade self-contain gifted, was an K-12 instructional coach in North Dakota.  In my free time my husband and I like to travel, hike, ride our ATV’s,  Geo Cache, walking my dogs, and my personal favorite spending time with our son.  I love nature and being outside; especially with a good book. 

          I am looking forward to working with you and your child in reaching his or her full potential. We will have many wonderful experiences and opportunities to learn and grow in the days, weeks, and months ahead.  

          I believe that communication is the key to a great parent-teacher relationship. I encourage you to contact me if you have any questions or concerns at any time. You can e-mail me at [email protected]   I will also do my part by sending out newsletters, e-mails, and keeping my website up to date on what we have been doing in class, as well as things that are upcoming. Your child will also have an agenda they will be required to fill out weekly. For individual concerns, I will contact you by phone, send a note home, or email you.
